About Us:
Evolved from working with driftwood and airplants in my condo storage unit, Sea Drift Decor is now Maureen’s passion. Seeing something – an animal, a hanger, or just a potential – in a piece of driftwood that most others would just walk over brings her a challenge. Having a little one recognize one of Maureen’s creations or see that light of creativity in them bring me joy. She loves making things that brings a smile or a memory to someone else.
We Sell:
Sea Drift Decor designs and creates art and home decor pieces made primarily of locally sourced ocean driftwood and other beach treasures. Each piece is one of kind and can not be duplicated. As much as possible the wood is kept in its natural condition and shape. Most pieces can be enjoyed indoors or out.
Outdoor pieces include wind chimes, sun catchers, wind spinners, candle holders and solar lights. Indoor items include wall art, table sculptures and electric lamps. Holiday items include trees and ornaments. The wood tells me what its going to be so my inventory is always changing.
Most pieces are made with the wood left in its raw, unfinished state and simply cleaned or sanded with a wire brush. With the lamps, plant hangers, and some table sculptures the wood has been cleaned, thoroughly sanded and sealed with Varethane.
