Time changes many things, but the love and importance of family remains constant.
My mom has always been my biggest ally and inspiration. Our shared love of fashion and all things fabulous, led us to the creation of our first few coats. With skin sensitive to wool, I had quite literally felt the need for alternatives to low blend winter coats. Wrapped in the softness of cashmere and elegance of timeless styles, our coats enabled me to evolve into my own sophistication and style.
So fortunate to have her support, I drew upon my mother’s background in textiles and her keen eye for detail as the first collection of coats was created in hopes of sharing this wonderful feeling with others.
Some other things never change: as a baby who chewed holes in my beautiful blankets, I was nicknamed Molly Moth. I grew out of my penchant for fabric destruction, but the name stuck – to my family, Molly Moth is simply my name.
Embracing the irony, naming the company Molly Moth acknowledges and honours the roots and strength from which it sprouted. From this place of support, wisdom and love, both Molly Moths grow and evolve and or that, I am extremely grateful.
